Business Manager

Looking for a versatile Business Manager who can expertly handle various responsibilities and guide us toward our launch goals. This role is critical to our success and involves overseeing various facets of our business working in partnership with the Technology Operations Director to build an innovative team.

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Develop and implement business strategies and define company goals and objectives.
  • Monitor market trends and analyze the competitive landscape to inform business decisions.
  • Coordinate with senior management to align business strategies with overall company vision.


Sales and Marketing

  • Hire sales and marketing teams to drive revenue growth.
  • Help develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance brand presence.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to meet targets.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to ensure alignment of sales and marketing strategies with product offerings.
  • Analyze market trends and customer insights to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including social media, SEO, and email campaigns, to boost online visibility.
  • Develop and manage sales forecasts and budgets to ensure financial objectives are met.


Financial Management

  • Oversee business budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Monitor financial performance and ensure profitability targets will be met.
  • Manage company resources effectively, optimizing cost efficiency and productivity.


Operations Management

  • Develop business processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure that daily operations align with strategic goals and compliance requirements.
  • Implement and maintain systems and procedures to support business operations.

 

Team Leadership and Development

  • Help hire new team members. 
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of staff.


Client Relationship Management

  • Outreach and maintain strong relationships with key clients, influencers and stakeholders to drive business development and sales expansion.
  • Address client needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Seek out new business opportunities and partnerships.


Risk Management

  • Identify potential risks to the business and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage contracts, agreements, and legal documentation.
  • Hire and work with an accountant to design and establish comprehensive accounting requirements for the entire site.


Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare regular reports on business performance for senior management.
  • Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies as needed once launched.


Resource Allocation

  • Manage the allocation of resources (staff, budget, materials) to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure that resources are utilized effectively to meet business objectives.


Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for business innovation and growth.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business processes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate best practices into the business.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in general management roles within the technology or online marketplace industry.
  • Strong background in call center management, CRM systems, accounting, legal, and HR functions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a track record of driving business growth.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
